Friday Hot Soup

The soup lunch was such a success last term that we’re excited to bring it back this year starting February 17th – and the good news is that we’ve been able to reduce the price to $2.  We’re still using organic ingredients when possible and making the soup and buns fresh on the day.

However, we urgently need your help to ensure it continues through the term and the year!  Realistically we need at least two more volunteers over the term to help with the serve and clean-up otherwise we can’t guarantee this project is sustainable.  It’s a small commitment of only 2 hours from 11.30-1.30 on Fridays and your children’s Friday soup lunches are free the day you volunteer.  This could be fulfilled by one or several people.  Please get in touch with Heather Autry, Sally Dakin or Anna Pashby about volunteering.
New Ordering Process

We’ve made changes to the ordering this year in order to help us to organize more efficiently.
Placing orders can only be done online once at the beginning of each term.

Payments are made directly to the lunch group account (see below).  This is a non-profit endeavour and all proceeds after ingredient/supply purchases go back into the lunch scheme.
The link to ordering: https://goo.gl/forms/PIm7nTjksrMELvKh1
There are 8 weeks of soup lunch this term so the total for the term is $16.

The account for payments is Te Ra School, A/c No 12-3629-0180719-00. Please use your child’s class and full name as reference (ie, 1HelenGreen).

Online payments must be made by February 15th.   If you can’t pay online you can pay by cash on the 17th February (soup day) at the kitchen.

If you need to amend/cancel your order please contact harvestlunch@gmail.com, not the office, and we can make the changes/refund.

If you have any trouble with the order link, contact Heather at harvestlunch@gmail.com.

Who We Are

This is a parent led volunteer initiative to provide affordable, hot lunches to the Te Rā community.  It’s a non-profit endeavour and all the money raised goes directly back into the lunch ingredients.  The soups and buns are made with organic ingredients whenever possible, and the long term plan is to make the hot soup/bun lunch a permanent offering with a broader plan to cultivate the produce at the school to use for the soup making.  We’re looking for someone in the community who would like to take charge of this aspect of the project and get this part of the plan in the ground.
Kind regards,

The Harvest Lunch Group
